Perkins Restaurant & Bakery in Rochester, MN seeks an Assistant Restaurant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, drive sales, and maintain guest satisfaction through effective team leadership.

You will oversee staffing, training, cash handling, quality control, compliance with ServSafe, and ensure safe food temperatures, while coordinating with departments to deliver the Perkins guest experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma; some college or degree preferred.
• 1–2 years of supervisory experience in food service.
• Ability to communicate effectively with employees, guests and vendors.
• Ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in planning and analyzing administration and operations manpower.
• Achieve plan profits while ensuring maximum guest satisfaction.
• Handle cash, credit cards, gift cards and all guest check payments.
• Plan and analyze restaurant unit manpower, including staff development and training.
• Recruit, interview and conduct new hire orientation.
• Attend University of Perkins and complete coursework.
• Maintain ServSafe certification.
• Support all restaurant functions as needed.
• Ensure menu items are prepared, portioned, and presented safely and accurately.
• Monitor food temperatures to reduce foodborne illness risk.
• Schedule staff to meet productivity and service standards.
• Maintain facility, equipment, and safety compliance.
• Manage inventory and ordering procedures efficiently.
• Prepare and review payroll and operating expense reports.
• Participate in meetings and present to peers and management.
