Job summary

Raising Cane’s Chicken Fingers is seeking an Assistant Restaurant Leader in Johnson City, TN to support the Restaurant Leader in daily operations and uphold Raising Cane’s standards and culture. The role involves managing shift operations, training and payroll for hourly crewmembers, and ensuring guest satisfaction in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented, organized and able to manage multiple priorities that may change
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Able to work independently or collaboratively
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems
• Willing to work varied shifts including days, evenings, weekends and travel as needed
• 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience
• New restaurant opening experience preferred
• Must be 18 years or older
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred
• Valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers
• Owns onboarding, status changes and payroll for hourly crewmembers
• Creates crewmember work and training schedules
• Manages performance of all hourly crewmembers (coaching, documentation, development)
• Acts as manager on duty and opens/closes the restaurant
• Manages cash handling and accountability
• Enforces policies and standards
• Executes shift management meeting and safety standards
• Uses forms and logs to support shift execution and corrective actions
• Provides exemplary customer service
• Uses rewards and recognition program for crewmembers
• Authorizes manager-level functions (discounts, promotions, clock overrides)
• Ensures cleanliness and proper facility operation
• Completes other duties as assigned
