Job summary

Raising Cane's is hiring an Assistant Restaurant Leader to support the Restaurant Leader in daily operations and uphold our standards and culture in all areas of the restaurant.

The role requires managing onboarding for hourly crewmembers, payroll, schedules, performance, and opening/closing the restaurant. Expect a fast-paced environment with customer interaction and varied temperatures, with travel for training as needed.

Qualifications

• Detail-oriented and able to manage multiple priorities.
• Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to work independently and with teams.
• Ability to set goals and create action plans to solve problems.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and quick to learn new systems.
• Able to work various shifts including weekends and travel for training.
• 3+ years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• High school diploma or equivalent; some college preferred.
• Valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Hires and terminates all hourly, non-management crewmembers.
• Owns onboarding, status changes and payroll for hourly crewmembers.
• Creates crewmember work and training schedules.
• Manages performance and development of hourly crewmembers.
• Acts as manager on duty and opens/closes the restaurant.
• Manages cash handling and ensures accountability.
• Enforces company policies and standards.
• Executes shift management meetings and safety standards.
• Uses tools/logs to support shift execution and corrective action.
• Provides exemplary customer service.
• Rewards and recognizes crewmembers accordingly.
• Authorizes manager-level decisions (discounts, promotions, timeclock overrides).
• Ensures cleanliness and proper facility operation.
• Completes other duties as assigned.
