Job summary

The Arboretum Apartments in Farmingville, NY is seeking a full-time Assistant Property Manager. You will lead leasing and marketing efforts, train on-site staff, and coordinate resident relations to ensure a top-tier living experience.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in property management, strong communication, and familiarity with MS Office and property software. Evening/weekend availability and a neat professional appearance are expected.

Qualifications

High School diploma or equivalent required.
Bachelor’s degree preferred.
Two to three years of experience in Property Management or related work.

Responsibilities

Demonstrates highest standards of integrity and compliance with laws and regulations.
Strives to provide high-quality living experiences for residents.
Handles resident concerns with a positive, service-oriented approach.
Communicates with tenants about events and conducts periodic inspections.
Uses marketing strategies to attract prospective residents and tours the property.
Works with leasing team to meet property goals and analyzes traffic and marketing data.
Understands financial goals and manages assets in owners’ interests.
Maintains records of all community transactions (rent rolls, delinquencies, moves).
Ensures rents and fees are collected and deposited timely.
Maintains community appearance and coordinates timely repairs.
Updates make-ready boards daily and verifies vacancy status.
Assists PM with training and coaching on-site staff.
Other duties as assigned.
