Job summary

SERVPRO-Team SPG is seeking an Assistant Project Manager/Crew Chief for water restoration to lead mitigation crews on water, fire, and mold projects, ensuring work is performed safely, efficiently, and to industry standards while delivering exceptional customer service.

Responsibilities include directing the crew, performing water extraction and drying, documenting readings, coordinating with production technicians, responding to service calls, and communicating progress to management.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of water/fire mitigation experience.
• IICRC WRT certification preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and direct mitigation crews on water, fire, smoke, and mold remediation projects.
• Perform and supervise water extraction, structural drying, demolition, and remediation production work.
• Set up and monitor drying equipment and document moisture readings and daily progress.
• Manage and complete jobs per SERVPRO process per work order from start to finish.
• Respond to service calls and coordinate requirements for each job.

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

• Leadanddirectthemitigationcrewonwater,fire,smoke,andmoldremediationprojects.
• Performandsupervisewaterextraction,structuraldrying,demolition,andremediationproductionwork.
• Setupandmonitordryingequipmentandaccuratelydocumentmoisturereadingsanddailyprogress.
• ManageandcompletejobsaccordingtoSERVPROprocessesperworkorder,monitoringassignedjobsfromstarttofinish.
• Respondtoservicecalls,setupandestablishefficientjobflow,andcoordinatetherequirementsforeachjob.
• Communicateclearexpectationstoproductiontechniciansandsupervisetheiractivitiesandqualityofwork.
• Explainprocessesandanswercustomerquestions,establishingrelationshipswithcommercial,insurance,andresidentialcustomers.
• Monitor,communicate,andrespondtocustomerneedsandconcernstoensurecustomersatisfaction.
• Maintaincontinuouscommunicationwithinternalparties,includingtheJobFileCoordinatorandmanagement.
• Identifysafetyhazards,communicatethem,andestablishcontrolmeasurestoensurethesafetyofoccupantsandworkers.
• Followandenforceallsafetyproceduresonthejobsite.
• Resolveproblemsquicklyastheyarise.
• Managejobfiledocumentationtoensurecompleteandaccurateprojectdetails,includingphotosandrequiredreadings.
• Manageandcontrolthecostsofproductionprojects.
• Manageassetsbyprotectingandproperlyusingequipmentandmaterials.
• Cleanandmaintainvehicles,equipment,warehouse,andofficeareas.

POSITIONREQUIREMENTS

• Highschooldiploma/GEDrequired.
• 1-3yearsofwater/firemitigationexperience.
• IICRCWRTorsimilarcertificationpreferred.
• Knowledgeofdryingequipmentandmoisturedocumentation.
• Validdriver'slicenseandstrongcustomerserviceskills,required.
• Mustbeabletoworkinpersonandtraveltojobsitesasneeded.Availableforweekendandafter-hourson-callrotation.
• MustbeauthorizedtoworklawfullyintheUnitedStatesandabletosuccessfullycompleteabackgroundchecksubjecttoapplicablelaw.

PHYSICALDEMANDS

• Abilitytoregularlylift50poundsandliftupto100poundswithassistance.
• Repetitivepushing,pulling,lifting,andcarryingofobjectsthroughouttheday.
