Job summary

SP Global DRT is hiring a Lead Technician to oversee remediation and restoration jobs on-site. You will perform production work, guide technicians on the job, and ensure safety and quality standards while coordinating daily workflow.

The role requires a valid driver’s license and the ability to travel to multiple sites. This position offers full-time hours with on-call rotations and a focus on hands-on leadership in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or GED.
• IICRC certifications preferred.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record required.
• Ability to work in person and pass background check.

Responsibilities

• Complete jobs per work orders and oversee production workflow.
• Drive company vehicles between job sites safely and regularly.
• Transport crew, tools, and equipment to sites and ensure loads are secure.
• Perform mitigation/restoration tasks including water extraction and structural drying.
• Set up staging areas and coordinate equipment needs for each job.
• Provide hands-on direction and feedback to technicians on site.
• Ensure safety procedures are followed and job scope is completed.
• Maintain job files with photos and required readings.
• Communicate professionally with customers and supervisors.

TheLeadTechnicianisanexperiencedfieldtechnicianwhocompletesjobsaccordingtoSPGlobalDRTprocessesandprovideshands-ondirectiontotechniciansonthejobsite.Inadditiontoperformingproductionwork,theLeadTechnicianhelpsestablishefficientjobflow,ensuresqualityandsafetystandardsaremet,andservesasapointofguidanceforthecrew.Drivingcompanyvehiclestoandbetweenjobsitesisanessential,regularpartofthisrole.

PRIMARYRESPONSIBILITIES

• CompletejobsaccordingtoSPGlobalDRTprocessesperworkorder,performingandguidingproductionwork.


• Drivecompanyvehiclestoandbetweenjobsitessafelyandasanessential,regularfunctionofthisrole.


• Transportcrew,tools,equipment,andmaterialstojobsitesandensurevehiclesareproperlyloadedandsecured.


• Performandevaluatemitigation/restorationactivitiesincludingwaterextraction,structuraldrying,set-upofspecialtyequipment,anddemolition.


• Establishefficientjobflow,setupstagingareasandequipment,andcoordinatetherequirementsforeachjob.


• Providehands-ondirectionandreal-timefeedbacktotechniciansonthejobsite.


• Ensurecrewsfollowprocessesandcompleteallworkpertheworkorderandscope.


• Identifysafetyhazards,communicatethem,andfollowandenforceallsafetyproceduresonthejobsite.


• Completeandreviewaccuratejobfiledocumentation,includingphotosandrequiredreadings.


• Communicateprofessionallywithcustomers,supervisors,andothertechnicianstomaintainefficientproduction.


• Performend-of-dayandend-of-jobcleanupandbreakdown,leavingthejobsitecleanandorderly.


• Resolveproblemsquicklyastheyariseandescalateconcernstothesupervisorasneeded.


• Protect,properlyuse,andmaintainequipment,tools,andvehicles,includingroutinevehiclechecks.

POSITIONREQUIREMENTS

• Highschooldiploma/GEDrequired.


• Priorfire/water/moldrestorationormitigationfieldexperiencepreferred.


• IICRCcertificationspreferred.


• Avaliddriver'slicense,acleandrivingrecord,andapprovalbyourinsurancecompanyarerequired,asdrivingisanessentialfunctionofthisposition.
