Job summary

Hoffman- seeks an Assistant Project Manager to support the Critical Technologies team, assisting Project Managers with day-to-day oversight of multiple HVAC/mechanical projects. You will help with setup, compliance, documentation, and site coordination, including regular site visits and management of subcontractor progress.

The role emphasizes reading schedules, creating Gantt charts, procurement, logistics, and reporting.

Qualifications

• 1–5 years of project management experience, HVAC or mechanical systems preferred.
• Strong understanding of PM 101 principles.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Ability to read project schedules and create custom Gantt charts.
• Experience with procurement, logistics, and scheduling.
• Knowledge of contract negotiation and administration.
• Ability to identify critical paths and manage labor scheduling.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, report writing.

Responsibilities

• Maintain project documentation and compliance records.
• Conduct regular visits to remote sites.
• Monitor subcontractor and installation progress; report to management.
• Develop change orders aligned with bidding and sales processes.
• Facilitate procurement, material transmittals and logistics.
• Attend and record minutes of project meetings and updates.
• Track schedules and ensure milestones and staffing.
• Support site leads in resolving project snags.
• Analyze data and trends for continual improvement.
