Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager with a passion for quality construction.

This role supports the Project Manager in safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, reporting, budgeting, estimating, change orders, billing and bid development. You will help develop systems, track performance metrics, assist in proposals and estimates, coordinate with purchasing, and travel to project sites to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and strong

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• Experience in a utility construction environment is advantageous.
• Strong communication, organization and collaboration skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with safety, scheduling, document control and cost coding on projects.
• Support in budgeting, estimating and change orders for proposals.
• Prepare proposals and estimates, including drawing take-offs.
• Provide weekly updates on project progress to the Project Manager.
• Travel to project sites as required.
