Job summary

M. J. Electric, LLC, a Quanta Services company, is seeking an Assistant Project Manager to support safety, planning, scheduling, cost monitoring, and reporting across multiple projects.

This role involves budgeting, estimating, change orders, billing and bid development, with regular travel to project sites. The candidate will assist in developing project structures, coordinating with purchasing, field management and customers to ensure on-time delivery and strong client relationships.

Qualifications

• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
• Proven communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Extensive computer skills including Microsoft Suite, Primavera P6, and Microsoft Project.
• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, Business Administration or related field preferred.
• 1-4 years of Project Management related experience in a utility construction environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with development of systems for accounting, reporting of project costs, scheduling, material procurement, subcontractors, record keeping and budgeting.
• Assist in tracking key performance and financial metrics to optimize performance and reduce costs.
• Assist in preparation of proposals and estimates including drawing take-offs.
• Support setup of project structure including safety, scheduling, cost codes, and billing.
