Job summary

The YMCA is seeking an Assistant Preschool Teacher in Easton, PA for a part-time, hourly role. Shifts run Monday through Friday with options 7:00am-1:00pm or 2:00pm-6:00pm, at $15.50-$16.50 per hour. This non-profit environment provides a supportive team and opportunities to grow within the Y.

The position requires a high school diploma with preferred Early Childhood Education credits and 2+ years working with children. A passion for engaging diverse youth in fun learning is essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma required or equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree or credits in Early Childhood Education preferred.
• 2+ years of experience with children preferred (any setting).

Responsibilities

• Design age-appropriate lesson plans and activities.
• Foster a safe, nurturing environment supporting growth.
• Adjust curriculum to meet learning objectives.

What is needed for this job as an Assistant Preschool Teacher:

• High School diploma
• Bachelor's Degree or credits in Early Childhood Education preferred
• 2+ years of experience working with children - this can be professional, volunteer, or familial (babysitting, etc.)
• Passionate about working with children in a fun, diverse environment
• 18+ years of age

• Cultivating and fostering a safe and nurturing environment that will encourage physical, emotional, and intellectual growth of children in the program
