Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations, ensuring quality food, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. You will lead teams, coach staff, and manage shifts to deliver a memorable SuperSONIC experience.

Responsibilities include hiring, training, supervising, inventory control, opening/closing duties, and strict adherence to safety and sanitation standards. This is a full-time on-site role in a franchise setting.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry-level retail management experience.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; multitask and solve problems.
• Willingness to abide by appearance, uniform and hygiene standards at SONIC.
• Ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations.

Responsibilities

• Hire, train, supervise, and develop staff for a fast-paced SONIC experience.
• Ensure guest satisfaction and repeat visits with quality service.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; adjust as needed.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties and maintain records.
• Respond promptly to guest requests and resolve complaints.
• Maintain SONIC safety and sanitation standards and compliance.
