World Market in Stafford, TX is seeking an Assistant Manager to lead a high-performance team and drive a customer-first selling culture. You will partner with the Store Manager to maintain brand standards, train staff, and execute daily operations to deliver sales and profitability.

The role requires leadership experience in fast-paced retail, strong communication, and the ability to coach associates in real time.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2+ years of leadership experience in a fast-paced specialty retail environment preferred.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays, based on business needs.
• Strong communication skills, including giving in-the-moment coaching and feedback.
• Ability to recruit, develop and retain a high-performance team aligned with company values.

Responsibilities

• Model and lead a customer-first selling culture by driving engagement, loyalty initiatives, visual standards, and brand values.
• Analyze business trends using available reporting to identify opportunities and take action.
• Plan for and execute daily business tasks in partnership with Store Manager in their absence.
• Recruit, develop and retain a high-performance customer-focused team through training, recognition and performance management.
• Utilize company tools to educate and validate team execution of key business functions.
• Maintain Loss Prevention policies and inventory management initiatives.
• Support a safe work environment through ongoing safety training and accountability.
