Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking a dedicated Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and ensure a high-quality, Judgement Free member experience. This full-time role includes scheduling, staffing, and front-desk oversight, with travel as needed to support business needs.

You will drive member satisfaction, lead a team of staff and trainers, and contribute to monthly and annual goals while maintaining a welcoming atmosphere.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring and developing a high-performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere and ensure top customer service.
• Support Club Manager with staff management and backup coverage.
• Schedule and supervise staff.
• Oversee member service and ensure superior experiences.
• Resolve or escalate employee issues as needed.
• Handle front desk duties: answer phones, check-ins, tours and sign-ups.
• Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Order supplies within budget and track weekly/monthly statistics.
