Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone for members. This full-time role involves leading staff, achieving sales goals, and maintaining exceptional member service.

You will assist in recruiting and training, scheduling, and ensuring clean, well-run facilities. The position requires strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving abilities, with occasional travel or varied shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others and commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Current CPR Certification preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills; strong leadership and organizational skills.
• Confident problem-solver.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club monthly and yearly targets.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members, guests and prospective members and ensure staff follows customer service guidelines.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Assist in scheduling and supervising staff.
• Oversee member service: ensuring superior customer experience at all times.
• Handle front desk activities: answer phones, check members in, sign-ups and tours.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the facility; manage supplies and budgets.
• Track statistics and reports weekly, monthly and annually.
