Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, Judgement Free Zone environment. The role supports a full-time schedule, including nights, weekends, and holidays when needed.

You will drive member satisfaction, assist with staff recruitment and training, and help manage front desk activities and facility upkeep. The position emphasizes leadership, customer service excellence, and teamwork while supporting the club’s financial performance.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years or older.
• Passion for helping others and commitment to excellent service.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Previous management experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in overseeing gym operations to ensure a high quality member experience.
• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club targets.
• Recruit, hire, train and develop a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for all members and guests; supervise front desk activities.
• Schedule and supervise staff; provide backup support to Club Manager.
• Oversee member services and resolve issues, ensuring a superior customer experience.
• Manage supplies, budget, and club cleanliness and maintenance.
• Track weekly/monthly/annual statistics and reports.
