Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and deliver a premier Judgement Free Zone experience. This full-time role requires leading a team, managing front desk activities, and maintaining cleanliness and member satisfaction.

The position offers a comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth within the Planet Fitness brand. Local travel and flexible scheduling may be required to meet club needs.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others and delivering excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• CPR Certification preferred.
• High school diploma/GED equivalent required.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong leadership and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals and contribute to club monthly and yearly targets.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members, guests and staff, ensuring superior customer service.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager as needed.
• Schedule and supervise staff; oversee front desk activities and member sign-ins.
• Assist in overseeing cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Track statistics and prepare weekly/monthly/annual reports.
• Backup for any employee who is absent.
