Job summary

Planet Fitness is seeking an Assistant Manager to help oversee gym operations and ensure a welcoming, judgement-free member experience while supporting financial success. You will lead staff and front desk activities, drive member engagement, and maintain facility standards.

The role requires 40 hours per week, with potential nights, weekends, and holidays to support business needs. Strong leadership, recruiting, and customer service skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Passion for helping others.
• Commitment to excellent service.
• Previous management experience is preferred.
• Basic computer proficiency (Microsoft Suite).
• Current CPR Certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Achieve or exceed individual sales goals, contribute to club monthly and yearly goals.
• Assist in recruiting, hiring, training and developing a high performing staff.
• Maintain a welcoming atmosphere for members and guests, ensuring staff follows superior customer service guidelines.
• Assist with staff management and provide backup support to Club Manager.
• Schedule and supervise staff; oversee front desk activities.
• Handle member questions, sign-ups, tours, and check-ins.
• Oversee cleanliness and maintenance of the facility.
• Assist with supplies and budget management.
• Track statistics and reports weekly, monthly, and annually.
• Communicate openly, build relationships, and uphold CORE values.
