Job summary

Cinemark USA, Inc. is seeking an Assistant Manager to assist in the overall theatre operations, ensuring policies and procedures are followed and standards are met.

The role trains staff across departments and can progress to Senior Assistant Manager and Theatre Manager after completing the Management Accreditation Program. The position requires coordinating with the General Manager, supervising teams, and providing exceptional guest service while adhering to Cinemark guidelines and safety

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• High School or GED preferred.
• Completion of Cinemark's Management Accreditation Program (MAP) courses.
• Food handling certification or local health card as required.
• Safe Alcohol Service training for managers handling alcohol.
• Availability to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Regular and consistent attendance.
• Energetic and friendly attitude.
• Excellent Guest service.
• Accurate cash handling and basic math skills.
• Interpersonal skills for communicating with all ages and backgrounds.
• Ability to converse in English.

Responsibilities

• Follows the direction of the General Manager.
• Supports GM decisions in staff communications.
• Works in all theatre departments and job functions.
• Trains and coaches Team Members in their roles.
• Assists in preparing administrative and special reports for the GM.
• Inspects theatre, parking, landscaping, and equipment condition.
• Reports repairs to the GM.
• Ensures compliance with dress code.
• Interacts with guests to provide superior service.
• Follows Cinemark guidelines and enforces them fairly.
• Reports employee relations issues as directed.
• Maintains high work ethic and conduct.
• Identifies and sanitizes high-contact areas.
• Uses PPE as required and adheres to safety protocols.
• Addresses safety or security issues promptly.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
