Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running the drive-in operations. You will train and supervise Team Members, Carhops, and other staff to deliver quality food in a clean, safe environment.

Responsibilities include directing shifts, managing staffing and inventory, performing opening/closing duties, and maintaining customer service excellence for every guest who visits SONIC.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year in retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication and basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work autonomously; strong multitasking and problem-solving.
• Willingness to maintain SONIC appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support other employees to ensure quality food in a clean, safe, efficient manner.
• Direct and assign employees to meet operational standards.
• Perform opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing levels, inventory, and food cost control.
• Complete weekly inventory and administrative duties.
• Ensure customer service focus and respond to guest requests promptly.
