Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running a fast-paced drive-in operation. You will help train and support employees to deliver quality food in a clean, safe environment.

This role requires flexibility to work nights, weekends, and holidays, with a focus on customer service and efficient operations. You’ll lead team members, monitor performance, and ensure adherence to policies while striving for guest satisfaction.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Strong leadership and customer service skills.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Supervises, trains, monitors and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet service standards.
• Ensures compliance with employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; adjusts as needed.
• Completes weekly inventory and maintains records.
• Reinforces customer service orientation and responds to guest requests.
• Reports guest complaints to supervisor and assists in resolution.
