Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in daily drive-in operations, training and guiding team members, ensuring quality food, cleanliness, and guest satisfaction. You will oversee staffing, scheduling, inventory, and administrative duties, acting with a customer-service mindset and upholding SONIC standards.

You will handle guest requests, irregular hours, and ensure a positive dining experience, driving teamwork and efficiency at the drive-in location.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills.

Responsibilities

• Manages and coaches team members and carhops to meet service standards.
• Directs assignments to ensure food service quality and efficiency.
• Monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Maintains staffing and inventory levels; controls food cost.
• Completes weekly inventory as needed.
• Produces accurate records and documentation.
• Delivers courteous service and handles guest requests promptly.
