Job summary

SONIC Drive-In in Washington state seeks an Assistant Manager to assist the General Manager in running operations, training crew, and ensuring safe, clean, quality service. This role demands flexible hours and a hands-on leadership style to motivate the team and maintain Sonic standards.

Qualifications

• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge and understanding of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year of entry level retail management experience.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards.
• Adheres to and enforces the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties for the drive-in restaurant.
• Monitors staffing, inventory and food cost; adjusts as needed.
• Completes weekly inventory and supporting documentation.
• Supports administrative tasks and maintains records.
• Fosters a customer service mindset and ensures guests are served promptly.
• Responds to guest requests and assists in resolving complaints.
