Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running daily drive-in operations, training and guiding Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops, and ensuring food quality in a clean, safe, and efficient environment.

You will handle opening/closing duties, manage staffing and inventory, supervise administrative tasks, and maintain a strong customer-service focus to deliver an enjoyable guest experience every time.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Effective communication skills; basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with autonomy; ability to multi-task and successfully solve problems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and coach Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Direct and assign drive-in staff to ensure service standards.
• Adhere to the employee handbook, policies and practices.
• Perform facility opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitor staffing levels, inventory, and food cost control.
• Complete weekly inventory and maintain files and documentation.
• Reinforce a customer service mindset and ensure guests are served promptly.
• Respond to guest requests and help resolve complaints.
