Job summary

Sonic Drive-In is looking for an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day drive-in operations. You will train and support Team Members, Carhops, and Skating Carhops while ensuring quality food, a clean environment, and safe, efficient service to every guest.

Responsibilities include supervising staff, managing labor and inventory, handling opening/closing duties, and maintaining documentation.

Qualifications

• Experience in restaurant management or retail management.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• General knowledge of the restaurant industry or retail operations.
• Basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Ability to multi-task and follow directions with autonomy.
• Willingness to adhere to appearance, uniform and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team / Crew Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops
• Directs and assigns drive-in restaurant employees to meet operational standards
• Adheres to employee handbook, policies and practices
• Performs restaurant opening and/or closing duties
• Monitors staffing levels, inventory levels and food cost control
• Completes weekly inventory as needed
• Maintains files, records and required documentation
• Reinforces customer service mentality and ensures guests are served promptly
• Responds to guest requests and helps resolve complaints
