Job summary

SONIC Drive-In seeks an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in day-to-day drive-in operations, training and coaching crew, and ensuring quality food, cleanliness, safety and efficient service.

The ideal candidate has prior QSR or retail management experience, strong leadership and communication skills, and a willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

Qualifications

• Restaurant management experience in a QSR or retail setting preferred.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication, math, reading, and computer skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work autonomously with minimal supervision.
• Adherence to appearance, uniform, and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Manages, trains, monitors and coaches Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops.
• Directs and assigns staff to meet service standards.
• Monitors policies and practices in the employee handbook.
• Performs opening and/or closing duties.
• Monitors staffing, inventory, and food cost; completes weekly inventory.
• Assists with administrative duties and documentation.
• Fosters a customer service focus and responds to guest requests.
• Resolves guest complaints in coordination with supervisors.
