Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is seeking an Assistant Manager to support the General Manager in running drive-in operations. You will train, coach and supervise Team Members, Carhops and Skating Carhops to deliver quality food in a clean, safe, and efficient manner, ensuring every guest has an enjoyable dining experience.

The role requires leadership, strong communication, and the ability to work irregular hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays. Prior QSR management experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum of six months of restaurant management experience (QSR) or one year entry level retail management experience.
• Ability to work irregular hours, nights, weekends and holidays.
• Good communication, math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to follow directions and work autonomously when directed.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in managing drive-in operations.
• Train and support other employees to ensure quality, safe, and efficient service.
• Lead staff during shifts and direct employees to meet standards.
• Open and/or close the restaurant as needed.
• Monitor staffing, inventory, and food cost; conduct weekly inventory.
• Perform administrative duties including maintaining files and records.
• Respond to guest requests promptly and resolve complaints.
