Job summary

SONIC Drive-In is hiring an Assistant Manager to help the General Manager run daily drive-in operations, train team members, and uphold quality, safety, and guest satisfaction. You will direct staffing, oversee inventory and cost controls, and handle opening/closing duties while ensuring excellent customer service and a clean, welcoming environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum six months of restaurant management or one year entry-level retail management.
• Experience running shifts without supervision.
• General knowledge of restaurant or retail operations.
• Effective communication, basic math, reading and computer skills.
• Willingness to follow appearance and hygiene standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist GM in managing drive-in restaurant operations.
• Train and support team members to ensure quality food in a clean, safe and efficient manner.
• Open and/or close the restaurant.
• Monitor staffing, inventory and food cost; complete weekly inventory.
• Ensure exceptional customer service and respond to guest requests.
• Report guest complaints and assist in resolving them.
