Job summary

RPM Living seeks an Assistant Maintenance Manager to maintain and enhance the value of our apartment communities. You will respond to on-call maintenance, complete work orders within 24-48 hours, document activities, and communicate with residents and teams.

You will also perform HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and general repairs, ensuring safety and compliance. On-site role based in Corpus Christi, TX, with a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• One year of multifamily maintenance experience and/or training.
• EPA certification required.
• CPO – preferred.
• Basic skills in Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure prompt coordination and response to emergency on-call and after-hours maintenance assignments.
• Complete work orders and maintenance tasks within 24-48 hours, updating records in the computer system.
• Document all maintenance activities and communicate clearly with residents, team members, and supervisors.
• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair HVAC, electrical, plumbing, pool, flooring, carpentry, drywall, and exterior maintenance.
• Perform sheetrock repairs to maintain aesthetics and structural integrity.
• Ensure compliance with OSHA regulations and safety/environmental laws.
• Collaborate with maintenance team members and external contractors for seamless property upkeep.
• Conduct proactive preventive maintenance activities to avoid issues.
• Assess property safety and cleanliness, ensuring regulatory compliance.
• Report supply needs to Maintenance/Community Manager and maintain shop organization.
• Assume Maintenance Manager responsibilities in their absence.
