Job summary

Liberty Packaging in Phoenix, AZ is hiring an Assistant Machine Operator II to support our corrugated production team. You will help set up orders, perform quality checks, and assist with machine operation tasks under supervision.

This full-time role requires accuracy, reliability, and willingness to work overtime, weekends, and holidays. Eligible candidates will have a high school diploma or GED or equivalent manufacturing experience, plus basic math and reading instruction skills.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or 1+ years manufacturing or comparable experience.
• Ability to apply basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
• Ability to read, follow, and complete detailed work instructions.
• Available for overtime, weekends and holidays as required.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup of orders per customer specifications.
• Help machine operators during quality checks and inspections.
• Monitor production metrics and downtime.
• Communicate equipment issues to leaders and assist with troubleshooting.
• Assist maintenance with minor repairs.
• Maintain a clean, organized work area.
• Follow plant safety processes.
• Other duties as assigned.
