Pura Vida Miami Llc is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead a fast-paced kitchen, ensure quality, and drive staff development. You will supervise, coach, and recruit while maintaining cost controls and compliance with health and safety standards.

We value leadership, reliability, and a hands-on approach to keeping service smooth during busy shifts and weekends. Culinary aptitude and POS proficiency are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a fast-paced kitchen or food production setting.
• Food Handler certification required (local rules) at applicant’s expense.
• Well-organized, detail-oriented and capable of staff development.
• Strong knowledge of health and safety regulations in kitchen operations.
• Ability to work closing shifts and weekends.
• Culinary school degree or Restaurant Management is a plus.
• Proficient with computers and standard POS software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen staff and communicate performance expectations.
• Observe and coach employees on performance and provide feedback.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, selection, and development.
• Develop and implement action plans to improve results and staff growth.
• Collaborate to streamline operations, control costs, and maintain quality.
• Provide product feedback and ensure new menu items meet standards.
• Support policy implementation and staff training across shifts.
• Model company values to foster teamwork and a positive environment.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal food handling rules.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all kitchen positions when needed.
