Pura Vida Miami is seeking a dedicated kitchen supervisor to lead daily kitchen operations and ensure adherence to quality standards. You will oversee staff, coordinate with the Kitchen Manager, and help manage costs in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in a food production facility, fast paced restaurant or full dining service.
• Food handler certification or equivalent
• Organized and detail oriented.
• Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
• Knowledge of health and safety regulations in kitchen settings.
• Flexibility to work closing shifts and weekends.
• Culinary degree or related certification is a plus.
• Comfort using computer and POS systems.

Responsibilities

• Supervise kitchen personnel and communicate performance expectations with the Kitchen Manager.
• Observe and coach staff performance.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, selection, promotion, and development.
• Develop action plans to improve operations and personnel development.
• Collaborate to streamline kitchen operations and control food costs.
• Provide product feedback to improve menus and merchandise.
• Ensure new menu items align with quality standards.
• Implement and monitor kitchen policies and procedures.
• Lead training sessions on prep techniques and presentation.
• Promote company vision and teamwork in the workplace.
• Monitor compliance with local, state, and federal food handling regulations.
• Ensure adherence to policies and customer satisfaction guidelines.
• Demonstrate proficiency across all kitchen positions.
