Job summary

Pura Vida Miami Llc is seeking a Kitchen Manager to oversee all kitchen operations in a fast-paced environment, ensuring quality, consistency, and safety while building a cohesive, high-performing team.

You will train staff, enforce health and fire safety regulations, manage scheduling, and coordinate with Managers in Training. Weekend availability and strong organizational skills are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5-6 years of experience in food production or fast-paced dining.
• Culinary school certification or Restaurant Management degree is a plus.
• Local/municipal Food Handler certification and health regulations familiarity.
• Experience in training and developing kitchen staff.
• Familiarity with kitchen sanitation and safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all kitchen operations and coordinate with Managers in Training and other leaders.
• Supervise and communicate job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen staff.
• Foster a culture of quality and consistency in menu items and execution.
• Provide training to kitchen staff on prep work and food presentation techniques.
• Recruit, onboard and retain team members through motivation, coaching and development.
• Delegate tasks and remain accountable for kitchen operations and team performance.
• Step in as a line cook when required and ensure proper execution of all kitchen roles.
