Job summary

Pura Vida Miami Llc in Fort Lauderdale is seeking a Kitchen Manager to lead all kitchen operations, supervise staff, and uphold quality standards across meals and service.

You will train and coach team members, manage food costs, enforce safety and sanitation policies, and partner with the Kitchen Manager to continuously improve productivity, accuracy, and guest satisfaction in a fast paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of experience in food production, fast-paced facility or full-service dining.
• Local health and safety certifications obtained by applicant.
• Organized and detail oriented with strong communication.
• Experience training and developing kitchen staff.
• Ability to work in a stressful, fast-paced environment.
• Culinary degree or Restaurant Management credential is a plus.
• Proficient with computer systems and POS software.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and provide clear communication regarding job responsibilities and performance expectations to kitchen personnel.
• Observe and evaluate employees’ performance and provide coaching as appropriate.
• Assist Kitchen Manager with recruitment, selection, promotion, management and development.
• Assist in developing and implementing action plans to improve operating results.
• Collaborate with Kitchen Manager to streamline operations, maintain efficiency and manage food costs.
• Provide product feedback to Kitchen Manager on products and merchandise.
• Ensure new menu additions align with quality standards.
• Implement and manage kitchen policies and procedures during shifts.
• Facilitate training sessions for kitchen staff on prep and presentation.
• Model company vision and values to foster teamwork.
• Monitor procedures for compliance with regulations and standards.
• Ensure staff follow policies including Employee Handbook.
• Demonstrate proficiency in all kitchen positions.
