Sprouts Farmers Market is seeking an Assistant Grocery Manager to help customers choose healthy options and to lead one of the store’s busiest teams. You will support the Grocery Manager in daily operations, merchandising, and team supervision to drive productivity and profit.

The role requires 1-3 years of retail management experience, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage flexible hours including nights and weekends. A focus on teamwork and customer service is essential.

Qualifications

• Be at least 18 years of age.
• 1-3 years retail management experience.
• Familiarity with natural foods and alternative diets preferred
• Be dependable with a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Proven leadership to build and motivate staff.
• Detail-oriented with good analytical and planning abilities.
• Ability to lift up to 60 lbs. and perform physical tasks for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Grocery Manager in managing and merchandising the department for maximum productivity and profit.
• Responsible for ordering and inventory controls, product quality, and supervision of the Grocery team.
• Coordinate merchandising and sales through ongoing planning, direction, goal setting, communication, and teamwork.
• Assist in leading a team to deliver high quality products and great customer experience.
• Assist in hiring, teaching, training, developing the Grocery Team.
• Unload and sort store deliveries.
• Ensure execution of health, safety, and sanitation guidelines.
