Popeyes is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Des Plaines, IL to support the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations, coach the crew, and deliver the brand’s legendary Southern hospitality.

You will lead shifts, manage labor and costs, ensure safety and cleanliness, and help recruit and train new team members in a fast-paced environment that values service, teamwork, and a love of great food. This role also emphasizes leadership growth and a collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or retail management (QSR a plus).
• People-first leadership style with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from front counter to back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence - ensuring speed, accuracy, and top-tier guest experiences.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
