Job summary

Popeyes in Illinois is seeking an Assistant General Manager (AGM) to support the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations, coach the crew, and deliver the legendary Southern hospitality Popeyes is known for.

You will lead shifts with confidence, monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness, manage labor and food costs, respond to guest feedback with care, and participate in hiring, onboarding, and training to build a strong, inclusive team.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant/retail management (QSR experience a plus).
• People-first leadership, hands-on and lead-by-example.
• Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work in fast-paced environments and handle shifts.
• Flexibility to work weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations from front counter to back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence - ensuring speed, accuracy, and guest experiences.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
