Popeyes is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Illinois to help lead daily restaurant operations, coach the crew, and uphold Popeyes’ southern hospitality. You’ll partner with the Restaurant General Manager to drive performance and guest satisfaction, while fostering a fast-paced, inclusive team culture.

The role emphasizes leadership, staff development, and operations oversight with a focus on quality and profitability.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of restaurant or retail management experience.
• People-first leadership with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• A love for fast-paced environments and great food.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from the front counter to the back of house
• Lead shifts with confidence - ensuring speed, accuracy, and top-tier guest experiences
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members
