Job summary

Popeyes is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Illinois to help run daily operations and lead a fast-paced team. You will support the Restaurant General Manager, coach crew, and ensure exceptional guest experiences with a focus on food quality and safety.

Ideal candidates bring 3–5 years in restaurant or retail management, a hands-on leadership style, and strong communication and problem-solving skills. Flexible scheduling and cost-conscious mindset preferred.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in restaurant or retail management (QSR experience a plus).
• People-first leadership style with a hands-on, lead-by-example approach.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
• Love for fast-paced environments and great food.
• Flexibility to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support all aspects of daily restaurant operations, from the front counter to the back of house.
• Lead shifts with confidence—ensuring speed, accuracy, and top-tier guest experiences.
• Coach, develop, and motivate team members to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback and resolve concerns with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, and safety procedures and other duties assigned.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
