Job summary

Wawa seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead daily operations, develop the team, and drive store profitability. You will oversee performance, hiring, onboarding, and growth of Customer Service Associates to deliver a consistently excellent guest experience.

You will coordinate schedules, monitor performance, and collaborate with peers to identify improvement opportunities, with a focus on safety and quality standards across the store.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Flexible availability, including weekends and holidays.
• Proven leadership in food service or retail preferred.
• Strong background in store operations: staffing, training, performance management, scheduling, expense control.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations and drive results while ensuring a smooth Wawa experience.
• Lead training for Customer Service Associates to meet safety and quality standards.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, coaching, and recognition of the team.
• Coordinate schedules and daily tasks to maintain efficient operations.
• Monitor store performance, shrink, and identify improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with peers to develop action plans for optimal results.
