Applegreen (US) Welcome Centers seeks an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations across our travel plazas. You’ll help deliver excellent guest service, supervise non-management staff, and ensure brand standards are followed.

Key duties include leading shifts, coaching teams, managing cash and inventory, and maintaining a clean, inviting environment while meeting performance goals and policies.

Qualifications

• Passionate about helping people learn and grow the business.
• Strong leadership and management skills with proven ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with a sharp business acumen.
• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shifts supervisors.
• Perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during busy periods.
• Maintain brand standards and ensure adherence to policies.
• Ensure cash management accuracy and daily reporting.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Monitor inventory data and conduct spot counts.
