Applegreen USA Welcome Centers Central Services is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the General Manager in daily operations and to lead entry-level managers in delivering superior service. This role emphasizes leadership, accountability, and consumer-focused decision-making across a busy travel plaza environment.

You will supervise staff, train supervisors, address customer needs, and ensure adherence to brand standards and safety policies.

Qualifications

• Strong leadership and management abilities.
• Excellent customer service and positive attitude.
• Clear verbal and written communication skills with business sense.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations and coach shifts supervisors.
• Step in for the General Manager when needed.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale.
• Maintain brand standards and policies, and ensure clean, inviting premises.
• Manage cash and report per directives.
• Respond to customer needs to build positive relationships.
• Ensure inventory accuracy with spot counts.
