Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help the General Manager ensure day-to-day operations run smoothly. This role offers an entry-level path for developing essential management skills, judgment, and discretion in a fast-paced travel plaza environment.

You will lead by example, deliver performance feedback, supervise staff, coach shifts, maintain brand standards, manage cash and inventory, and resolve customer issues to build long-term loyalty.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Strong leadership and management skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
• Excellent customer service abilities and positive attitude.
• Excellent verbal and communication skills with sharp business acumen.
• Flexible and open work schedule.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Ability and willingness to lift/push objects weighing over 30 Lbs.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and clearly communicate business objectives.
• Supervise day-to-day operations, assign tasks, coach shift supervisors, and ensure store-level performance.
• Step in and perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff and maintain morale during challenging times.
• Uphold brand standards and policies; maximize landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are completed as directed.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues to build long-term relationships.
• Oversee inventory checks and spot counts to maintain data accuracy.
