Applegreen USA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to help run daily operations at our travel plazas. This role offers an opportunity for entry-level managers to learn essential management skills and exercise judgment.

You will supervise front-line staff, deliver feedback, uphold brand standards, manage cash, and ensure customer satisfaction with a flexible schedule and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• 2+ years experience in quick service restaurant or similar management operations.
• Basic food safety understanding and practice.
• Demonstrated leadership and ability to motivate a team.
• Excellent verbal and written communication with a sharp business sense.

Responsibilities

• Deliver performance feedback, set goals, foster teamwork, and communicate business objectives.
• Supervise non-management associates, assign work, coach, and develop shift supervisors.
• Must be able to competently perform duties in the absence of the general manager.
• Motivate staff, especially during times of low morale.
• Strong Leadership and organizational skills.
• Address issues in a timely fashion.
• Ensure company policies and procedures are followed.
• Maintain awareness of brand standards and procedures to maximize brand/landlord/labor relations.
• Ensure restaurant looks clean, inviting, and adheres to brand standards.
• Ensure cash management is accurate and reports are delivered per directives.
• Address customer needs and resolve issues, ensuring positive relationships.
• Ensure inventory data is correct by performing spot counts and checks.
