Job summary

Popeyes in Chicago is seeking an Assistant General Manager to support the Restaurant General Manager in daily operations and to coach the crew. You will lead shifts, ensure fast, friendly service and uphold Popeyes' Southern hospitality.

This role requires 3–5 years of restaurant leadership, strong people skills, and the ability to manage labor and food costs while maintaining high standards of quality and safety.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in restaurant or retail management.
• People-first leadership, hands-on, lead-by-example.
• Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making.
• Love for fast-paced environments and great food.
• Flexible to work weekends/holidays.
• Familiarity with managing food and labor costs preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support daily restaurant operations from front counter to back of house.
• Lead shifts with speed, accuracy, and great guest experiences.
• Coach and motivate team to hit service and performance goals.
• Monitor food quality, safety standards, and cleanliness.
• Assist in managing labor, food costs, and profitability.
• Respond to guest feedback with care.
• Ensure compliance with brand standards, policies, safety procedures.
• Help with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members.
