Job summary

Pura Vida Miami seeks an Assistant General Manager to lead a hospitality team and uphold a high standard of guest service. You will train staff, coordinate with the General Manager on inventory and staffing, and ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Ideal candidates bring 2+ years of managerial experience in hospitality, strong communication skills, and a commitment to delivering a positive guest experience. bilingual English/Spanish is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of proven customer service experience in hospitality/restaurant.
• 2+ years of proven managerial experience in hospitality/restaurant.
• Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Local/municipal Food Handler certification or equivalent.

Responsibilities

• Lead by example with positive, clear team communication.
• Provide outstanding customer service and resolve issues promptly and professionally.
• Motivate and guide staff to exceed customer expectations and maintain a welcoming environment.
• Collaborate with General Manager to manage inventory, labor, and operational procedures.
• Develop staffing plans to support volume fluctuations and ensure staffing coverage.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards to protect guests and staff.
• Participate in hiring decisions, performance reviews, and coaching of associates.
• Schedule and supervise team member shifts for smooth operations.
• Direct staff on the floor to ensure efficient service and resolve issues quickly.
• Monitor expo station to ensure timely and accurate food delivery.
