Job summary

CAVA is hiring an Assistant General Manager to partner with the GM in delivering exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence. You will manage daily restaurant operations, oversee staffing and scheduling, control costs, and uphold food safety standards.

You will lead by example, coach Team Members, and drive metrics like guest satisfaction and profitability while maintaining a positive, inclusive workplace culture.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Able to adapt to changing circumstances and improve operations.
• Capable of budgeting, cost control, and financial reporting.
• Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights/weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager in daily restaurant operations, including opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and coaching.
• Support scheduling and staffing; address team issues to maintain a positive environment.
• Contribute to guest satisfaction initiatives and loyalty programs.
• Assist with financial reporting, sales tracking, and compliance.
• Participate in special projects and cross-functional initiatives.
