Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead restaurant operations and uphold our hospitality standards. You will partner with the General Manager to implement action plans, manage schedules, forecast labor, and develop hourly Team Members in a fast-paced environment.

You will oversee food quality, service, inventory, and cost control while coaching staff and ensuring a positive work culture. This role emphasizes leadership, financial stewardship, and guest satisfaction across shifts.

Qualifications

• 1-2 years in a supervisory or management role in restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and develop solutions to enhance restaurant performance.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA’s standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training and feedback.
• Support scheduling and staffing.
• Assist with addressing Team Member issues and conflicts.
• Enhance guest experience and address customer concerns.
• Assist with financial reporting and trend analysis.
• Support compliance with cash handling procedures.
• Oversee food safety practices and train on proper procedures.
• Assist with administrative tasks and maintaining records.
• Support with project initiatives and general management duties.
