Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager in Glen Allen, Virginia. You’ll partner with the General Manager and Area Leader to manage daily restaurant operations, schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory, while developing hourly team members in a competency-based leadership framework.

You will learn and apply leadership and operational skills in a fast-paced environment. Competitive pay starts at $21 per hour, with projected annual earnings around $60,060 based on a 50-hour week.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within restaurant/hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgets and costs.
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations, incl. opening/closing.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Address Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding service standards and addressing concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage team to follow.
