Job summary

CAVA in Sterling, VA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead daily restaurant operations alongside the General Manager and Area Leader. You will help set store action plans, monitor financial metrics, and develop hourly Team Members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.

The AGM will manage schedules, forecasting, labor, and inventory, while upholding food safety standards and service quality. Competitive pay at $23.50/hour, projected $67,130 annually for a 50-hour week.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years in a supervisory or management role within the restaurant or hospitality industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Willing to work flexibly including nights and weekends; travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in managing daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA’s standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering and cost control to maintain profitability.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and performance feedback.
• Support the General Manager with scheduling and staffing.
• Assist with addressing Team Member issues to maintain a positive work environment.
• Enhance guest experience by upholding high service standards and addressing customer concerns.
• Lead by example in customer service and encourage the team to follow suit.
• Support with managing financial aspects including sales tracking, cash handling, and budget adherence.
• Assist with preparing financial reports and performance analysis.
