Job summary

CAVA is seeking an Assistant General Manager to work with the General Manager to drive restaurant operations, guest satisfaction, and team development in Glen Allen, VA. The AGM will help with schedules, forecasting, labor management, and inventory, while upholding CAVA's standards for quality and service.

You will support financial reporting, cost control, and staff training, while ensuring food safety and a positive work environment.

Qualifications

• 1–2 years of experience in a supervisory or management role within restaurant or hospitality.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer service.
• Ability to manage budgeting and cost control.
• Knowledge of legal, health, safety, and sanitation regulations.
• Willing to work nights and weekends and travel as needed.
• Promotes inclusivity and respectful team culture.

Responsibilities

• Assist the General Manager in daily restaurant operations including opening/closing procedures.
• Ensure adherence to CAVA standards for food quality, service, and cleanliness.
• Oversee inventory management, supply ordering, and cost control.
• Supervise and support Team Members with training, coaching, and feedback.
• Assist with scheduling and staffing and addressing Team Member issues.
• Uphold high service standards and address customer concerns to boost satisfaction.
• Lead by example in customer service and drive loyalty initiatives.
• Assist with financial reporting, budgeting, and cash handling compliance.
• Support food safety practices and team training on proper procedures.
• Perform administrative duties such as inventory management and records.
• Participate in special projects to drive restaurant success.
